We are eager to welcome you back for our 37th edition!
After a brief interval online, we are finally back and more ready than ever to welcome delegates in person at the College. With this year being its 37th iteration, the Marianopolis Model United Nations Conference has had a longstanding commitment to opening a forum for students everywhere to engage with one another to address the world’s pressing issues. Held by one of Quebec’s oldest and most revered English language colleges, Marianopolis College and its record of excellence is an underlying force for MariMUN’s conference. Additionally, being ranked as one of the top 25 Model United Nations clubs on the continent, the Marianopolis Model United Nations Club builds a conference committed to pushing intellectual boundaries, challenging its delegates, and bringing together curious minds in new and endlessly creative ways. Through taking on modern issues, diving into historical topics to explore how past events influence present circumstances, and escaping into fictional committees that amplify real world problems and examine them from unorthodox perspectives, MariMUN emphasizes a multifaceted and interdisciplinary approach to learning and diplomacy. As one of few conferences open to highschool, CEGEP, and university students in North America, MariMUN unifies a unique array of students each of whom bring their individual experiences and expertise to the committee room. MariMUNs distinctive position as a conference like no other is also mirrored in the city in which it is based—Montreal. With its amalgamation of languages and cultures and position as a city that attracts people from all over the world, Montreal is a diverse and vibrant city with something for everyone. We look forward to welcoming you this February to Marianopolis and Montreal for an unforgettable academic and social experience!
